UN Sustainable Development Goals Advocacy Program
Development Perspectives is an independent Development Education non-governmental organization (NGO) and registered charity, based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, but works with partners all over both Ireland and the world.
In 2017, they started a program to train SDG Advocates in Ireland. I was one of 26 active citizens in Ireland,, to take part. This training course allows the advocates to deepen their understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, represent the project internationally and lead transformative change in Ireland.
For my part in this project, I developed a series of graphics, that could be used to teach kids about SDGs, either by the advocates or by other practitioners, or teachers in schools. From research I found a lot of SDG material, although freely available, was all very high gloss with full photo images, that a lot of people and schools just couldn’t afford to print out.
SO, I developed a range of ‘activity prints outs, simple black and white graphics, that could be printed. I also like useful things, so I developed these bookmarks, that kids could colour in, based on the 17 SDG Goals.
These little bookmarks were developed as part of a series of art materials for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). I was involved in a Advocacy program with Development Perspectives.
I also created word searches and colouring pages:
